Course overview
・What are SDGs?
SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals: SDGs) are international goals from 2016 to 2030 described in the "2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" adopted at the United Nations Summit in September 2015.
It consists of 17 goals and 169 targets to realize a sustainable world, and is a common global goal that states that no one will be left behind.
These SDGs have spread rapidly in recent years, and it is said that they will undoubtedly move the world as a common goal from 2019 onwards. The SDGs are not something that can only be achieved by national governments and local governments, but it is necessary for each person to contribute from their individual actions to achieve the SDGs.
Among the 17 goals are major problems such as "energy problem", "food waste problem", "discrimination based on nationality, race and sex", "sharing of unpaid work in the home such as childcare, nursing care, and housework" and daily life. The goal is also to solve the familiar problems that people face in the future.
Our corporation has held Peace for Earth as an SDGs experience-based event, and has contributed to the promotion of SDGs practitioners by creating first-year SDGs to revitalize the SDGs while cooperating with the national and local governments. This test is an initiative to further revitalize the SDGs by visualizing their thoughts and efforts toward the SDGs through the test.
・ What is the SDGs Ambassador Test?
Individuals, companies, and organizations deepen their understanding of the SDGs, and regardless of the frequency and depth of their activities, whether it is a small thing, a serious thing, or even if they are not confident, those who want to practice in some form can work on it. It will be a test that aims to become
The test organizer is a non-profit corporation that has been engaged in global warming prevention activities for more than 20 years.
If you appeal SDGs and sustainability, isn't it "SDGs wash"? People sometimes suspect that I am singing as if I am doing it even though I am not doing it. If so, even those who are working hard will not be able to confidently say, "I'm doing it! Please support me!" It's important to just appeal that you have thoughts. Even if you can't do much, you still have feelings. I started to think so recently. Even if it's just that, it's wonderful just to have thoughts, so I'll provide a sign that people who think like that can connect with each other.
The SDGs Ambassador Test is an opportunity to become able to talk about SDGs and sustainability without technical terms and difficult business terms, and to create as many SDGs first-year students as possible.
